Alderman Bouke Velzen gives guest lecture at Piëzo Talent Academy

At the Piëzo Talent Academy, children recently attended an inspiring guest lecture by Alderman Bouke Velzen. The lecture was part of the academy's current technology lesson block.

During the guest lecture, the alderman talked about his work as an alderman and his role as district alderman for Buytenwegh. The children were then given a creative assignment: to come up with and make something that would help the neighborhood or make it more enjoyable.

The children enthusiastically set to work and came up with various ideas. Two pupils designed a waste robot that can help keep the neighborhood clean, others came up with a new soccer field, and plans were made for a large Sinterklaas parade.

The initiative demonstrates how children can be introduced to technology and social engagement in a fun and educational way. Alderman Velzen was impressed by the creativity and dedication of the students.
