Winners photo contest 'Zoetermeer full of color' at traveling exhibition

During a festive gathering at the Golden Tulip Hotel, the winners of the photo contest 'Zoetermeer full of color' were announced Wednesday evening, October 1. The jury chose 3 winning images that capture the city in an original and colorful way. In addition, a top 10 was compiled that will soon be on display in the traveling exhibition.

Many residents and photography enthusiasts participated in the photo contest, organized by Bureau Citymarketing Zoetermeer. Amid great interest from participants and guests, alderman Jan Iedema and photographer Jos Elve presented the prizes. They expressed their appreciation for the many entries and diversity of colorful photos of the city. The contest aimed to capture the colorful and lively side of Zoetermeer; from modern architecture and busy squares to quiet parks and surprising corners. From the many entries, the jury selected 3 winners:

First prize went to Arthur Winailan with a beautiful ode to the graffiti sprayers who keep adding color to the Meerzicht Tunnel.

Second prize went to Aryan Patmo with a colorful photo of the Marseille Trail with beautiful lines and light.

On 3 Cian Qwin with an unusual and mysterious photo of Oosterheemplein.

Iedema: "This photo contest made it clear that every neighborhood, every streetscape and every detail has its own colorful story. That's what makes this selection so valuable."
