Residential building Milenagang
In subarea Milena, 2 apartment buildings with a green middle area have been completed. De Goede Woning and care provider Fundis have realized a complex with 48 care apartments. Wonen á la Carte has realized life-proof apartments in the second apartment building on the Milena corridor. For parking, a parking street has been created on the side of the Nathaliegang. This new street is called the Naomigang. The planting of the green area is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023.
Planting green area
On Nov. 19, 2020, Wonen à la Carte hosted an online meeting to further inform local residents about the draft plan development of the building and adjacent public area. During the meeting, the municipality indicated that the 2017 plan to create a rose garden in the middle area is unfortunately no longer feasible due to high maintenance costs.
A new planting proposal for the green area was created in 2021 that incorporated various trees and shrub plantings. Local residents of the Milenagang/Naomigang were able to respond to the planting proposal via DoeMee . The proposal received one change as a result of the participation. Some residents requested that a swamp cypress tree be replaced. This tree is dead and will be removed. A solitary shrub (Prunus 'Umeniko' / ornamental cherry) will be placed in this spot.
