Zoetermeer looking for Garden Graders

Zoetermeer is looking for enthusiastic residents to volunteer to give gardening advice to neighbors. Anyone who has experience with gardening and wants to make a difference for green neighborhoods in Zoetermeer is therefore invited January 28 to come to the information evening about Gardenrangers.

Green gardens, large and small, play an important role in the fight against climate change. Green gardens attract animals and enhance the living environment. Gardenrangers' garden advice helps residents, free of charge and with practical advice, to further green their gardens and make them attractive to, for example, butterflies, birds and maybe even a hedgehog. Garden rangers are volunteers with a heart for biodiversity who want to share their passion with other residents.

Councilwoman Marijke van der Meer is looking forward to the applications. "I find it exciting to connect Zoetermeer residents with and without green fingers. It is a new way to work together with our residents to further green the city, for the Zoetermeerders themselves, but also for our flora and fauna. I look forward to seeing the results!"

Information Evening

Garden rangers are trained to communicate their passion in an approachable but focused way and help garden owners get started in their own gardens. Even small adjustments can have a big impact. The information evening will take place on January 28, 2025 at 19:30 in De Kapelaan, Nicolaasplein 2, Zoetermeer.
