112 Safety Day
Experience the world of police, fire, law enforcement, and other emergency services! On Saturday, June 6, the 112 Safety Day will 112 Safety Day again on the grounds near the SilverDome on Van der Hagenstraat. From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be plenty to do related to safety—for all ages! There will be spectacular demonstrations. How do emergency services work together at a serious traffic accident? How does the police apprehend a dangerous suspect? Or learn how to put out a pan fire. The day will kick off at 10:00 AM with a performance by Harpe Davids. Don’t miss a thing—come by bike!
The grounds feature a large number of vehicles, including several police cars, (historic) fire trucks, and an ambulance. New this year: historic and modern military vehicles. Have you always wanted to sit inside an army tank? You can view the vehicles up close and explore them from the inside.
For children
There’s plenty for kids to do: hop on a police motorcycle, spray water with a fire hose, or get a fake wound painted on your face. Experience realistic scenarios through VR goggles in the police game tent, or try to escape from the escape room inside the riot police bus. Visit the fire department’s “smoke escape room” and try to find the exit as quickly as possible.
