500th Charging Pole in Zoetermeer
Friday afternoon, January 24, Alderman Véronique Frinking (Mobility) started a symbolic charging session at the 500th charging station in Zoetermeer. Equans placed the charging station at the request of a resident.
The installation of charging stations stems from the coalition agreement. Each charging station brings us closer to the goals of this coalition agreement: reduced carbon emissions, cleaner air and a healthier, more sustainable living environment for all of us.
Charging station 500 is not just a number, but an important milestone in the joint task toward a sustainable future. This milestone is more than this 500th charging station; it is a symbol of progress, of collaboration between residents, businesses and government.
With 500 charging stations in Zoetermeer, electric driving is more accessible than ever: Many residents can charge an electric car within 250 meters of their home. This year, in cooperation with various parties, we hope to install another 50 charging stations in Zoetermeer.
And there is more good news to report, electric charging will become cheaper in Zoetermeer this year: the price goes from €0.58 (including VAT) to €0.48 (including VAT) per kwh. Want to know more about electric driving? Then check out our page on Electric transport.
