Dining, socializing, and engaging in conversation in Rokkeveen
On Friday, June 5, a special gathering will take place in the Rokkeveen neighborhood: “At the Table: Eating, Meeting, and Conversing.” Residents of Rokkeveen are warmly invited to sit down together, get to know one another, and engage in conversation.
Connection, dialogue, and sharing a meal are at the heart of it
The neighborhood is home to a wide variety of residents from diverse cultural backgrounds. It is precisely this diversity that makes the neighborhood rich and vibrant and offers a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another better. This initiative aims to foster connection, interaction, and dialogue among neighbors.
The neighborhood coordinator is personally inviting residents to join us. It promises to be an evening focused on getting together and having conversations, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The initiative is organized by the Interfaith Council of Zoetermeer (ILOZ), Piëzo, inZet, and the municipality of Zoetermeer. During the evening, trained dialogue facilitators will guide the discussions, creating an atmosphere that encourages personal stories, exchange, and mutual understanding.
Participants are invited, if they wish, to bring something from their own culture—such as a dish, a product, or a story that offers a glimpse into their background. This way, the gathering becomes not only a conversation but also an opportunity to discover each other’s tastes and traditions.
Everyone from Rokkeveen is welcome to join us and participate. Participation is free. There is room for up to 50 participants (first come, first served), so registration is required.
Date: Friday, June 5,
Time: Doors open from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., dinner and dialogue until approximately 8:30 p.m.
Registration: via Register for the Rokkeveen Dialogue | iloz.org
