Balijbos and Hoekstrapark fireworks-free zones on New Year's Eve
The municipality is again designating fireworks-free zones at the turn of the year. In Rokkeveen it concerns:
- the Balijbos
- the Hoekstra Park
Within the fireworks-free zones, the setting off of fireworks is prohibited. By doing so, the municipality wants to reduce the nuisance residents experience from setting off fireworks.
The fireworks ban applies from December 31, 2024 6 p.m. to January 1, 2025 2 a.m. Outside these times, setting off fireworks is prohibited anyway. In the period before the turn of the year, the municipality posts warning signs at various locations in these areas.
