"Staying Safe Online" Event at Buytenwegh for People 55 and Older
Online scammers are getting smarter all the time. They call pretending to be from the bank, send convincing emails, or even show up at your door. Older people are frequently targeted. That’s why the city of Zoetermeer, in collaboration with the police, is organizing a series of free informational sessions in local neighborhoods.
The event will take place at Buytenwegh on Wednesday, June 17. You’ll learn how to recognize the signs of cybercrime and find out what to do if you’re unsure. We’ll discuss real-life examples and provide tips on how to protect yourself online. And of course, there will be plenty of time to ask questions.
Date: Wednesday, June 17,
Location: Buytenrode, César Franckrode 6
Time: 1:30–3:30 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.)
To register
Participation is free, but registration is required. You can register by sending an email to digitaleveiligheid@zoetermeer.nl. Please include your name and the date of the meeting. You can also call the municipality at 14 079.
