The Schoon team would like to thank litter hero Hans Spil
For years, Hans Spil has been an indispensable force at the Zoete Aarde community garden and in his neighborhood of Buytenwegh. Last week, he picked up litter for the 500th time—a special milestone. For 10 years now, Hans has been heading out every Monday with a litter picker and a trash bag, sharing his results through photos on his Instagram page.
Hans is also hard at work at the Zoete Aarde community garden. From pruning to helping out with activities, he’s always there—often with a homemade cake. With his dedication, energy, and commitment, Hans makes the neighborhood a little bit better every day.
On the afternoon of Thursday, April 16, Hans was honored and received a commemorative plaque from Councilwoman Marijke van der Meer.
