Help with Relationship Problems and Divorces

Every relationship has its challenges. Sometimes couples can work things out on their own, and other times extra support is welcome. Even when a relationship ends, it can bring up many questions, emotions, and practical concerns. That’s why inZet counselors Nynke Hospes and Eric Lups offer support to residents through the Scheidingspunt.

Working to Build a Stronger Relationship

Couples who want to improve their relationship can participate in the “Hold Me Tight” workshop . In a small group of up to six couples, participants work over the course of eight sessions to improve communication, develop a better understanding of each other, and break negative patterns.

Support During Divorce

Every third Wednesday evening of the month, there is an information session on divorce. Over the course of two sessions, participants receive information and support regarding both the emotional and practical aspects of a divorce.

In addition, there are several peer support groups:

  • For divorced women: every first and third Thursday of the month.
  • For estranged parents who have little or no contact with their children: every first Wednesday evening of the month.

Support for Parents After a Divorce

Good parenting remains important even after a divorce. Scheidingspunt offers sessions with both parents to improve communication and help them make the transition from partners to “co-parents.”
