Coalition negotiators Bert van Alphen and Ingrid Michon-Derkzen begin negotiations on a coalition agreement
Last Monday, the GroenLinks-Partij van de Arbeid, VVD, D66, and CDA began substantive negotiations on a coalition agreement. These parties had previously expressed their confidence in one another with a view to establishing a stable partnership.
Bert van Alphen and Ingrid Michon-Derkzen have been asked to serve as informateurs in the negotiations. Van Alphen previously served as an alderman for GroenLinks in the municipalities of The Hague and Pijnacker-Nootdorp. Michon-Derkzen is currently a member of the House of Representatives for the VVD and previously served as a city council member in The Hague. As mediators, they will jointly oversee the negotiations between the parties.
The exploratory negotiators want to get to work quickly and are committed to a coalition agreement that addresses the major challenges facing the city.
