Young people are giving JOP Floriadepark a makeover
The Youth Meeting Place (JOP) in Floriade Park has been given a fresh new look. Students from Picasso Lyceum and Alfrink College worked together to paint their own meeting place.
They contributed ideas to the design and got to work themselves. Painting together not only gave the space a fresh new look, but also fostered a stronger sense of connection to the JOP and to one another. The space now feels even more like a part of the neighborhood.
The mural project was led by Nicaraguan muralist Manuel Alániz Gámez, who works with young people on public art projects. The collaboration was made possible with support from the LBSNN Foundation.
Rokkeveen demonstrates how we can work together to care for our neighborhood and the places that matter. This is how we build a strong, livable city.
Together, we shape our neighborhood. Zoetermeer is de plek.
