The Gelijk Youth Hub is already taking shape

In Zoetermeer, we build the city together. This is reflected in this unique educational street art project, in which young people from different neighborhoods actively participate in creating street art in public spaces. Together with the LBSNN Foundation and Nicaraguan muralist Manuel Alániz Gámez, they are bringing color to places that are used and experienced every day. This is also the case in the Palenstein neighborhood.

There, the wall at the new Gelijk youth hub was given a splash of color. Children from IKC de Kasteeltuin had created sketches beforehand. Students from Alfrink College, clients of Philadelphia, and visitors from Piezo helped with the painting.

Do you have a great idea for adding some color to your neighborhood? A wall, an electrical substation? Let your neighborhood coordinator know, because Manuel will be returning to Zoetermeer in April 2027.
