Activities at the Rokkeveen Neighborhood Library

In May and beyond, the Rokkeveen neighborhood library is organizing various activities centered around reading, writing, and sharing stories. You can participate in the Wednesday Library Experience about Annie M.G. Schmidt, a writing workshop led by thriller author Nicole van der Spek, Book Chats, and the Story Table. The activities are accessible, fun, and usually open to the public without registration.

Mother's Day & Choir Day at Rokkeveen Shopping Center

On Saturday, May 9, the Rokkeveen shopping center will be celebrating Mother’s Day and Choir Day. From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., five different choirs will perform a variety of songs, creating a festive and musical afternoon of shopping. A fun outing that combines shopping with live music.

inZet is celebrating its 5th anniversary

In May, inZet will celebrate its 5th anniversary, and we’ll be marking the occasion with festivities at all our drop-in locations in Zoetermeer. On Monday, May 11, you’re also welcome to join us at inZet Rokkeveen on Nathaliegang, where various activities for all ages will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Feel free to drop by to join in, meet others, and learn about what the neighborhood has to offer. Join us in celebrating the anniversary and stop by the drop-in center in Rokkeveen.

Move the City Dance Project in Rokkeveen

Children ages 7 through 12 can participate in the free dance project Move the City. Dance classes are also being held in Rokkeveen, where children will be introduced to Afro dance over the course of six sessions and work toward a group finale at the CKC. No dance experience is necessary, and participation is completely free.

Outings with the Senior Bus

On Monday, May 18, the Senior Citizens’ Bus will be heading to De Bosrand Garden Center in Alphen aan den Rijn. The bus will pick you up at home and bring you back afterward; registration is required due to limited seating. Participation is possible upon presentation of your Regiopas or with a punch card.

Rokkeveen Dialogue: Eating Together and Engaging in Conversation

On Friday, June 5, you’re invited to “Aan tafel, eten, ontmoeten en in dialoog” (Dine, Connect, and Engage): an evening where neighborhood residents eat together and engage in conversation. In a relaxed atmosphere, there’s plenty of opportunity to meet new people, share personal stories, and learn about each other’s backgrounds. Participation is free, but registration is required as space is limited to 50 participants.
