New initiative in Palenstein: Vegakletspot

A new and enjoyable initiative recently took place in Palenstein: the Vegakletspot. The first edition was organized on January 19, Blue Monday, the day known as the gloomiest day of the year. That is precisely why this evening was a great opportunity to get together, meet new people, and engage in conversation.

The aim of the evening was to raise awareness of meat-free meals and to bring local residents together in an accessible way. Fun and informative questions about vegetarian cooking and eating sparked lively conversations around the table.

The Vegakletspot is a great example of an initiative developed as part of the 'Leadership in the neighborhood' course offered by the Piëzo Foundation. In this course, residents learn how to set up activities in their own neighborhood, often together with other local residents.

Julian, a resident of Palenstein, is participating in this course. He developed the idea for the Vegakletspot with the help of enthusiastic residents from his neighborhood. Due to its success, the Vegakletspot will now be organized several times a year.

One of the volunteers said, "It's wonderful to see how food brings people together and sparks conversations that might not otherwise happen."

Would you like to help out at a Vegakletspot evening in Palenstein, or would you like to know more about the 'Leadership in the neighborhood' course?
