New signage pointing to secure bike parking facilities in the city center
The municipality of Zoetermeer has installed 25 new directional signs along the bike paths around the city center. The signs guide cyclists to the three free, secure bike parking facilities in the city center: Cadenza, Noordwaarts, and Centrum-West.
The new signage is designed to make the bike parking facilities more visible to visitors to the city center. The municipality of Zoetermeer is promoting alternatives to driving into the city center and is strongly encouraging cycling. A pleasant bike ride starts with a safe, comfortable, and free place to park your bike. There is plenty of space for this in the three secure bike parking facilities.
Councilman Jan Iedema (Downtown) helped install the new directional signs. "With these 25 new directional signs, we’re making it easier for downtown visitors to find the secure bike parking facilities. This way, cyclists can park their bikes easily, safely, and for free."
The three free, secure bike parking facilities are managed by U-stal. New users can pick up a badge and sticker at the facility at no cost from a staff member to gain access to the parking facilities.
