The new city pass will be called "Stadspas079"

The pass will be available under this name starting in November 2026. With the Stadspas079, residents and visitors can take advantage of special offers and discounts on outings and activities for all ages. This makes it even more appealing to explore Zoetermeer and enjoy everything the city has to offer. The pass is free for Zoetermeer residents on a low income.

New name

The entry “Stadspas079” immediately caught the jury’s attention. '079' refers to Zoetermeer’s area code, just like 010, 020, and 030 for Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Utrecht. Those numbers have become true icons. With '079,' we show that Zoetermeer is also a large, modern city with plenty to do and experience. The jury was unanimous. The name is creative, has a clear link to the city, is easy to remember, and is future-proof.

A winning slogan, too

In addition to the hundreds of entries for a new name, we also received some creative ideas for a slogan. The winning slogan is: “Je Doet er Meer Mee Pas.” It’s a play on the name “Zoetermeer,” with the word “doen” (to do) at its heart. The slogan highlights what the pass is all about: doing more, experiencing more, discovering more, and getting more out of the city.

The winners have already been notified and will receive a free city pass for themselves and their family members, as well as a gift card worth €50.

Councilman Bouke Velzen is proud that the development of the Brede Stadspas has taken another step forward with this new name. "This Brede Stadspas is about much more than discounts or amenities. It’s about getting involved and connecting in a Zoetermeer where everyone can participate in sports, culture, and fun activities, regardless of their income or background."
