Work on the Eurotunnel this summer
Zoetermeer is undergoing rapid development, and this summer is no exception. Major roadworks are being carried out to improve the quality of the roads in our city. Unfortunately, despite taking into account the various road users such as motorists, travelers, and pedestrians, these works are causing some inconvenience.
Eurotunnel closed for 6 weeks
The Europatunnel and Europaweg major maintenance. The work will take six weeks, during which time the Europatunnel will be completely closed. Every weekend, another intersection or section of the Europaweg will also be Europaweg . More information about the weekly closures and the applicable closures and diversions will soon be available in the Bouwapp and via municipal channels. After the work is completed, the tunnel will have been thoroughly refurbished and will be ready for the future!
Behind the scenes, we are working hard
We are currently working with Van Gelder to finalize the planning, traffic routes, and safety measures for the major maintenance work on Europaweg the Europatunnel in the summer of 2026. We are not doing this based on gut feeling, but on details. Every weekend, every diversion, and every safety measure is now being organized in such a way that the work will be as predictable and safe as possible for everyone who lives, works, or passes through here. In the coming period, you will see more and more clearly what the closure will mean for you. When the work will take place, how you can detour, and what we are doing to limit the inconvenience.
