When will you get a voting pass?

Are you at least 18 years old on election day and do you have Dutch nationality? Then you will receive your voting pass in the mail by Wednesday, March 4, at the latest. Take this voting pass, along with your ID, with you to the polling station. Without voting pass you can not vote!

Are you moving just before the election?

The address at which you are officially registered on February 2, 2026, determines in which municipality you can vote. You will receive your voting pass at the address where you are registered on that date.

Did you move to Zoetermeer from another municipality after February 2, 2026? Then you can only vote for the members of the municipal council in your previous municipality.

Problems with your voting pass?

If you have not received your voting pass after March 4, or if your voting pass is lost or damaged, you can get a replacement voting pass . Your old voting pass then automatically will become invalid.

• You can request a replacement voting pass online until Friday, March 13.
• You can also request a replacement voting pass at the reception desk in City Hall. This can be done until Tuesday, March 17, at 12:00 noon. An appointment is not necessary. You get your new voting pass immediately.

Please note! In previous elections, some residents did not receive their online election documents, such as replacement voting pass or proxy forms, in time by mail. Although most mail is delivered correctly, there is still a risk of delay or loss. We therefore advise you to request your replacement voting pass at the counter, if possible.

Identification documents lost or stolen?

Have you lost your identification documents or has it been stolen? Make an appointment with the municipality as soon as possible. At the counter a "declaration of loss" will be made and you can apply for a new identification document.

You can still vote with (a copy of) the municipality's 'declaration of loss' and a document or card showing your name and photo (for example, a personal public transport card).
