Pilot bus service 'De Opstap' launched in Rokkeveen, Dorp, and Stadshart

From January 5, 2026, a new bus will be running through Zoetermeer: De Opstap. This bus connects Rokkeveen and Dorp with the city center, making it easier for residents to get around the city.

Why De Opstap?

With De Opstap, the municipality of Zoetermeer aims to improve accessibility to Rokkeveen and Dorp and encourage residents to get out and about more easily and meet each other. The neighborhood bus is intended to supplement existing public transport.

Route and timetable

De Opstap runs on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and has one trip per hour in each direction. The bus follows a fixed route with fixed stops in Rokkeveen, Dorp, and the Stadshart. Reservations are not necessary. Travel costs €2 per trip and payment is easy with a debit card. Most stops are existing bus stops. Temporary bus stops will be placed at a few locations.
