Bus connection De Opstap
From January 5, 2026, the new bus 'De Opstap', bus line 272, will run through Zoetermeer. This Opstap connects Rokkeveen and Dorp with the Stadshart and Centrum West. The bus complements the existing public transport system and makes it easier for residents to travel within the city.
Timetable
De Opstap runs from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and makes one trip per hour in each direction.
Route
The bus follows a fixed route with fixed stops in Rokkeveen, Dorp, and the city center, and uses existing stops from bus line 71 and train station stops.

Rates and payment
Traveling with De Opstap costs €2 per trip. You can easily pay by debit card. No reservation is required.

Is the bus line accessible to everyone?
The bus is not wheelchair accessible. For residents who travel with a wheelchair, there is Wmo transport. De Opstap has handrails at the entrance to make boarding easier.

Wheelchairs cannot be accommodated. The bus has room for 9 people, which means there is little space for large mobility aids. Rollators and smaller strollers can be accommodated on the bus.

The Opstap bus goes to Centrum West station. From there, you can transfer to bus line 70. This bus line passes by the Haga Hospital.
Does the bus also stop at the Zoetermeer Oost train station?
The bus is currently not stopping at the Zoetermeer Oost stop. Work is still being carried out there.
