Various demonstrations will take place throughout the day. How do emergency services work together at the scene of a serious traffic accident? How does the police apprehend a suspect? What’s the best way to put out a pan fire? The program will be available here soon.
What is there to see and do?
- Watch some impressive demonstrations.
- Walk past historic emergency vehicles.
- Experience realistic scenarios with police VR goggles.
- New this year: Get an up-close look at both historic and modern military vehicles.
- Escape from the escape room inside a police van.
- Meet the community police officers, the enforcement officers, and the members of "Wijk en Agent Samen."
- Climb into an army tank.
- Spray with a fire hose.
- Take a seat on a police or fire department motorcycle.
- Get a fake wound put on your arm.
- Find the exit in the fire department's "smoke escape room."
- Meet Ambulance Care.
- Learn how to put out a flare-up in a pan.
- What does first aid involve? Learn how to perform CPR and apply a bandage.
Vehicles
The grounds feature a large number of vehicles from the police, law enforcement, fire department, and ambulance services, as well as vintage fire trucks. This year, for the first time, you can get an up-close look at modern military vehicles in addition to a number of historic ones. Have you ever sat inside an army tank? You can do so on this day.
