Walking Tour of Buytenpark During Bird Week

From May 9 through 17, it’s time once again for Bird Week, the annual event organized by Vogelbescherming Nederland that’s all about discovering and admiring birds in their natural habitats. Whether you’re an experienced birdwatcher or simply enjoy the birdsong in your backyard, this week has something for everyone.

It is a ten-day period (usually in May) filled with activities throughout the country. The goal is to bring people closer to nature and show them just how rich and diverse the Dutch birdlife is. May is the perfect month for this, as the birds are singing, nesting, and feeding their young in full swing.

The Zoetermeer Bird and Nature Association (VNVZ) is also participating in Bird Week this year. To mark the occasion, we are organizing a free walking tour in Buytenpark on Saturday, May 16.

Register via the Vogelbescherming website at. Space is limited to 20 participants, so sign up soon!
