Nature Garden Walking Tour on Sunday, August 23

On Sunday, August 23, you can take a guided walk through the Nature Garden. Despite the drought, there’s still plenty to see in terms of flowering plants and herbs, such as hairy willowherb, marsh trefoil, yarrow, and brunel. And let’s not forget the wild carrot and wild endive, which look different than you might expect (although you’re probably familiar with wild endive—just under the name chicory). The guide will point them out to you.

The guided tour lasts just over an hour; participation is free. The walk begins at 2:00 p.m. at the picnic table across from the new Westpunt. (Enter Westerpark via Turfberg near No. 1; follow the signs toward Natuurtuin / Westpunt.)

This guided tour is less suitable for wheelchair users. They can visit part of the Nature Garden through a separate entrance.

Dogs are not allowed in the garden.
