Successful Palenstein Day Event
On Friday, May 29, the annual Palenstein Day was celebrated.
This time at the location between the Van Duvevoordepad sports field and the small skate park.
Children could play sports, pick up litter (as part of the “Clean Is Normal” campaign), or take part in the Skyla Theater scavenger hunt. A full stamp card earned them an ice cream.
Seniors could enjoy a cup of coffee on the terrace of the Knussebus, get information at one of the booths run by Piezo/InZet, the Neighborhood and Police Partnership team, and Buurtwerk. Two employees from Dirk handed out fruit and water.
At the tables set up by the after-school care centers (Junis and GroUp) and elementary schools (Achtsprong and Kasteeltuin), children could make bracelets and do crafts.
Many families came out for the activities. Thank you to everyone, and see you next year for the next edition.
