Community theater brings acquired brain injury closer to home

The performance explores the impact of acquired brain injury (ABI) on people’s daily lives and those around them.

What happens when work, relationships, and the things we take for granted suddenly change? And how do you deal with that as a partner, family member, or family?

Through a cast of relatable characters, the play illustrates that the effects of acquired brain injury are often invisible, even though they can turn a person’s life completely upside down. The play is set at Activisie: a place where people with acquired brain injury find peace, structure, community, and a sense of purpose.

After the performance, visitors engage in conversation with one another. This makes the performance more than just theater: it is also a way to foster awareness, connection, and understanding around a topic that often goes unnoticed.

This production is the result of a collaboration between Activisie, Greg & Baud Productions, Theaterhart, and Wijck.
