Renovated central park festively opened

With the 'Central Park' project, the Dobbe area has undergone a major facelift over the past year and a half, with more greenery, seating areas, and playgrounds. There is also more space for art. Central Park connects the Village with the City Center and is a place for everyone.

Alderman Iedema looks back on the opening with satisfaction: "It's wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves. That makes the work we do for the city a rewarding task." The festive activities on Saturday, March 7, lasted from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. As far as Alderman Iedema is concerned, this is just the beginning of the fun we will have in the park: "What is particularly important is that this really connects the modern city center with the old village."

During the opening, guided tours and sports activities were organized. Visitors could also enjoy music and various food and drink outlets. For the children, there were bouncy castles and sweet treats.
