Removing boat wrecks in De Leyens

Team Enforcement will remove boat wrecks in the De Leyens neighborhood. The often half sunken and overgrown boats mar the water. Employees of team Handhaving provide the boat wrecks with a red label. Are you the owner of one of these boat wrecks? If so, you have until Thursday, May 22, to remove it. After that, team Enforcement will remove the boat wreck. You can then no longer claim the boatwreck or any personal belongings that may have been in it. The boat wrecks are in the water on the, Buiskade, James Cookrede, Tjotterkade and the Schoenerkade.

Neglected boats refurbished

This year, not only boat wrecks were labeled. Neglected boats already received a yellow label last month. The owners of these boats were given a month to refurbish the boat. Of the 51 boats with a yellow label, 39 were refurbished and 12 still received a red label.
