Zoetermeer is undergoing rapid development, and this summer is no exception. Various roadworks are being carried out to improve the quality of the roads in our city. Unfortunately, despite taking into account the needs of various road users such as motorists, travelers, and pedestrians, these two projects are causing some inconvenience.
Afrikaweg viaduct closed for two weeks
From June 1 to June 15, 2026, work is planned on the Afrikaweg viaduct over the A12 to Rokkeveen. As a result, the Afrikaweg, exit 6 Zoetermeer Centrum, and the Lus will be closed for two weeks. During the closure, traffic will be diverted via Zoetermeer Oost Station and the Oostweg. The A12 to The Hague will be accessible via Oostweg and Hoefweg.
Eurotunnel closed for 6 weeks
A month later, it will be the turn Europaweg the Europatunnel and Europaweg for major maintenance. The work will take six weeks, during which time the Europatunnel will be completely closed.
