Singing and Games at the Day and Activity Center

Children from IKC Prins Claus are visiting the Day and Activity Center. They’re singing songs and playing games with the visitors. It’s a special encounter between young and old that perfectly illustrates what Connection Week is all about.

Storytime at the Neighborhood Library

Different generations also come together at the neighborhood library. Visitors to the Day and Activity Center enjoy a storytime event organized especially for them.

Scavenger Hunt at the Rokkeveen Shopping Center

Students in grades 5 and 6 at IKC De Waterlelie are going on a scavenger hunt in and around the Rokkeveen Shopping Center. In small groups, they’ll search for various “foxes” in costume at participating stores. This is a fun way for the students to get to know the local shopkeepers and organizations in the neighborhood.

Parkrun in the Balijbos

Start your Saturday with some exercise and good company at the parkrun in the Balijbos. Walk, jog, or run the 5 kilometers at your own pace. The parkrun is open to all ages and fitness levels, and while exercise is part of it, it’s mainly about enjoying the outdoors and meeting others.

Starting at 8:45 a.m., someone will be there to welcome newcomers and show them the ropes. So feel free to join us even if you’ve never participated in a parkrun before or if you’d rather walk. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a cup of coffee or tea together at Gemiva on De Balijhoeve.

Police Mobile Media Lab

The police’s Mobile Media Lab is coming to the Rokkeveen Shopping Center. Inside this unique truck, you’ll receive practical information about digital security, burglary prevention, and other safety-related topics. You can also ask questions, talk with police officers, and try out VR glasses, among other things. Feel free to stop by and discover how you can better protect yourself, your home, and your digital data.
