Work at Seghwaertse Hout: construction of a pump track

Starting Monday, May 11, construction work will take place in Seghwaertse Hout. A new pump track for bicycles, scooters, and other vehicles will be built in the park. To make way for this, the current skate park will be removed. The work is expected to last through July 2.

How does this affect you?

You may experience some temporary inconvenience during the work.

  • Part of the park will be temporarily closed from May 11 to May 26.
  • Three parking spaces are temporarily unavailable.
  • You may experience noise disturbances due to the construction work.
  • Temporary construction fences and road plates are in place in the work area.
  • The park will remain open to visitors during the construction of the pump track.

We are doing our best to minimize any inconvenience.

Planning

May 11 through May 26
During this period, we will be removing the current skate park and preparing the site for the construction of the pump track. Work will also be carried out on the drainage system and landscaping of the area.

May 26 through July 2
After that, we’ll begin construction of the pump track. Once construction is complete, the pump track will undergo a safety inspection. For this reason, the track won’t be open for use right away. The official opening will take place after the summer. We’ll be hosting a festive opening for the pump track and will share more information about it later.
