The seating blocks on Ferdinand Bolstraat are getting a fresh coat of paint
In Zoetermeer, we build the city together. This is reflected in this unique educational street art project, in which young people from different neighborhoods actively participate in creating street art in public spaces. Together with the LBSNN Foundation and Nicaraguan muralist Manuel Alániz Gámez, they are bringing color to places that are used and experienced every day. This is also the case in the Dorp neighborhood.
The playground seating had been damaged during recent construction work in the area. It was a great opportunity for us to work together to add some color to the space. It turned out to be a special project! Not only does it look nicer now, but it was also a fun week where everyone pitched in, stopped by for a chat, shared tea and cookies, and exchanged special stories; according to community liaison Jenny Troenodikromo of Buurtwerk Group.
