Introducing: Rokkeveen, the new neighborhood councilor

Dear residents of Rokkeveen,

Lisette Sandifort

I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Lisette Sandifort, and I am the neighborhood alderwoman for Rokkeveen. In addition, as an alderwoman, I am responsible for areas including the economy, vocational education, events, and city marketing.

As someone born and raised in Zoetermeer, I feel a strong connection to our city—first as a resident, then as a city council member and VVD caucus chair, and now as an alderman. I bring that commitment to my role as neighborhood alderman as well.

As the neighborhood alderman, I think it’s important to know what’s going on in the neighborhood. Rokkeveen is a green and active neighborhood, where many residents are committed to their community. You can see that in the many initiatives, clubs, and gatherings that make the neighborhood such a pleasant place to live. A great example of this was the neighborhood party at the De Vlieger shopping center, which I recently had the pleasure of attending.

A neighborhood is built by everyone working together. That’s why I enjoy talking with residents, business owners, and community organizations. What’s going well? Where are the opportunities? And what can we improve together? Your experiences, ideas, and involvement are essential to this process.

Through the newsletter, we’ll keep you informed about developments, activities, and plans in Rokkeveen. I hope to meet you in person soon—at meetings, during neighborhood visits, or just somewhere around the neighborhood.

Sincerely,
Lisette Sandifort
District Councilor for Rokkeveen
