Introducing: Neighborhood Councilor Véronique Frinking
Dear residents of Buytenwegh,

My name is Véronique Frinking, and I am your neighborhood councilor for the beautiful Buytenwegh neighborhood. I was born in Harderwijk, and after living in a few different places, I have been living in Zoetermeer since 1990. I first lived in Buytenwegh, and later moved to De Leyens. I am a family person and love spending my free time with my family.
For me, a pleasant neighborhood starts with engaged residents—people who look out for one another, are committed to their neighborhood, and work together to create an environment where everyone can participate. A good neighborhood and a pleasant living environment make you feel at home. And I was able to experience that firsthand at the Dekkenfestival during Connection Week. Residents brought dishes to share with one another. And that afternoon, I was able to see, experience, and taste once again how food brings people together.
Buytenwegh is home to many wonderful initiatives and active residents. Last August, I attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Albertshoven neighborhood and residents’ association. It was a truly special milestone. This just goes to show how a neighborhood and its residents’ association are sustained by the people who live there, allowing them to thrive for many years to come. I look forward to regularly participating in neighborhood activities in the coming months and would love to chat with you.
Sincerely,
Véronique Frinking
Buytenwegh Neighborhood Councilor
