Who deserves the Arts & Culture Award?
What was the most remarkable artistic or cultural achievement of 2025? The municipality of Zoetermeer awards the Art & Culture Prize and the Incentive Prize every year. With these awards, the city expresses its appreciation to individuals and organizations that have made a special contribution to Zoetermeer's cultural life in the past year. You can now nominate people or groups who you think deserve these wonderful awards!
Art & Culture Award
Zoetermeer is brimming with creativity and talent. With the Art & Culture Award, we spotlight creators, organizations, and projects that inspire and connect our city. Do you know someone or an initiative that has distinguished themselves in a surprising or innovative way in the field of art and culture in 2025? Then nominate them for the 2025 Art & Culture Award. At the bottom of this page, you'll find an overview of the winners from previous years.
Incentive Award
Do you know of an innovative cultural initiative that's moving Zoetermeer forward? The Incentive Award is intended for emerging talent in Zoetermeer's arts and culture scene. This award is presented to an individual or group that has made a special contribution to the city and the sector over the past year.
Submit your nomination
Do you know someone who deserves the Arts & Culture Award or the Incentive Award? Then send an email to cultuurloket@zoetermeer.nl before December 15th and let us know why that person, association, or organization should win this award. An expert jury, consisting of Wim Blansjaar (Alderman for Arts and Culture), Janine Karlas (Director of Poppodium Boerderij), Colin Knoester (City Poet of Zoetermeer), Gernand Ekkelenkamp (Council Member of Zoetermeer Municipality), and Hélène Ouwerkerk (Editor-in-Chief of Streekblad Zoetermeer), will carefully review all submissions. The nominees will be announced at the end of January.
Award ceremony
Want to attend the awards ceremony? Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 25th ! The ceremony will take place at CKC&partners in Zoetermeer. We'll share more information on this website in early February.
