Vocational Education Act (WEB)
The municipality helps people with low literacy skills, illiterate people, and people who do not need to integrate into society to improve their basic skills. This involves speaking Dutch, arithmetic, and working with a computer and the internet. These skills are important for participating in daily life and at work. The municipality of Zoetermeer carries out this task for the municipalities in the Zuid-Holland Centraal labor region. This area consists of the municipalities of Zoetermeer, Voorschoten, Wassenaar, Lansingerland, Pijnacker-Nootdorp, and Leidschendam-Voorburg. Zoetermeer receives annual funding from the national government for this purpose.
