Parking of large vehicles
It is illegal to park large vehicles on public roads at night and on weekends. Check the map Parking Large Vehicles to see where you may park. Note! In some places, you may only park with an exemption.
The ban applies to:
- Vehicles longer than 6 meters or higher than 2.4 meters (for example, large trucks or buses).
- Working days Monday through Friday (daily from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and weekends.
The ban does not apply:
- On weekdays from Monday to Friday (daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
The ban does not apply in the following streets and/or areas:
For the total list of parking spaces, see the map Parking large vehicles. On these streets, parking is not allowed in some parking spaces:
- Philipsstraat
- Wiltonstraat
- Storkstraat
- Industrieweg
- Wattstraat/ Stephensonstraat, the parking lanes located there, excluding the parking spaces provided for passenger vehicles
- Newtonstraat
- Edisonstraat
- Signaalrood on the east side parallel to the Oostweg
You may apply for a temporary exemption to park a large van on the following streets and/or lots:
- Location Houtsingel at number 87.
- Parking lot Nathaliegang / Rebeccagang.
- Koraalrood, at the parcels 133-153.
- Zanzibarplein/Sumatra
- The parking spaces on the Meerzichtlaan at the section between the Bredewater and Kerkenbos. Located along the northbound lane and on the section between Westergo and Zalkerbos, along the northeastbound and eastbound lanes.
- Hoevenbos, the parking spaces along the edge of the public green north of the apartment.
