Neighborhood Councilor Anne Lise Olsthoorn Visits Stadscentrum and Driemanspolder
On Monday, September 7, the new neighborhood alderwoman, Anne Lise Olsthoorn, and neighborhood coordinator Sandra Rispens took a bike ride through Stadscentrum and Driemanspolder. It was a great way to get to know the neighborhood.
At the “De Griekse Boog” housing complex, the pair was welcomed by neighborhood manager Loek and area director Inge from Vidomes, and two residents of the tower blocks gave them a tour of the neighborhood. At the inZet activity center on Bijdorplaan, they had coffee with social broker Odette and senior advisor Eveline, both members of the neighborhood team. At the “ Van Leeuwenhoeklaan ,” the neighborhood alderman received information about the upcoming renovation plans, and community builder Amber gave a tour.
Of course, the Residents’ Association couldn’t be left out in Driemanspolder either. Three (prospective) board members spoke about the issues currently on the minds of the now nearly 600! members (residents of BoB or Drive-In homes in Driemanspolder). Sustainability is an important topic, but quality of life (parking) is also a concern.
"This has left me wanting more," the alderman said. "I'm already looking forward to participating in a number of activities in the neighborhood." The alderman won't have to wait long, as the first invitations were handed out right away.
