Short-term stay in an institution (Wmo)
Short-term stay in an institution is for people who are cared for at home by a caregiver and cannot be home alone. The person needs 24-hour supervision and/or care. With short-term stay, someone stays in an institution for a maximum of 72 hours per week, which relieves the caregiver for a while.
Please check with your health insurance first. This may be reimbursed from your health insurance.
Does your health insurance not cover a short-term stay? If so, you can apply directly to the Zorgpension as a caregiver. The Zorgpension will then conduct an access test.
Check the Care Pension website at or call 088 - 023 47 40.
Are you not admitted to the Care Pension? Then you can file a Wmo notification with the municipality for short-term stay in an institution.
