Short-term stay in an institution (Wmo)
Short-term stay in an institution is for people who are cared for at home by an informal caregiver and cannot be home alone. The person needs 24-hour supervision and/or care. With short-term stay, someone stays in an institution for a maximum of 72 hours per week, which relieves the informal caregiver for a while.
Please check with your health insurance first. This may be reimbursed from your health insurance.
Does your health insurance not cover a short-term stay? If so, you can apply directly to the Zorgpension as an informal caregiver. The Zorgpension will then conduct an access test.
Check the Care Pension website at or call 088 - 023 47 40.
Are you not admitted to the Care Pension? Then you can file a Wmo notification with the municipality for short-term stay in an institution.
