Starting a sex business

If you want to start a sex business, adhere to the following:

• The owner and any manager(s) are 21 years of age or older.
• The prostitutes working there are 21 years of age or older.
• The sex business fits into the municipality's zoning plan.
• The sex business meets the requirements in terms of furnishing, fire safety and business operations (including hygiene).
• The operator and any manager(s) must not be in receivership.
• The operator and any manager(s) must not have been deprived of parental authority or custody.
• The operator and any manager(s) are of impeccable conduct.

Furnishing the property

It must comply with several rules:

• the conditions of the zoning or environmental plan*.
• you need an environmental permit (because of fire safety or building or renovation plans)
• You may also need an Alcohol License

* The municipality's zoning/environmental plan states where construction is allowed and what buildings may be used for.
