Next step for housing project Karakter
The municipality is taking the next step in the preparation of the Karakter housing project on Van Aalstlaan. The board of mayor and aldermen has decided to grant a felling permit subject to conditions. This may allow preparations for construction to start sooner.
Before construction of 167 homes, including 50 social rental homes by Vidomes, can begin, the municipality will first prepare the area for construction. Once all conditions have been met, felling work is expected to start in late February or early March 2027. Subsequently, cables and pipes will be relocated, and the site can be prepared for construction.
