For example, a preliminary draft environmental decision may be:

  • Preliminary Environmental Plan: Here we ask you to help look at existing rules that are being transferred to the environmental plan and will soon apply to you.
  • Preliminary draft environmental program: This is where we ask you to help look at new policies or the interpretation of an area development. This allows you to contribute ideas and influence plans that affect your living environment.

At the stage when you can respond, nothing has been definitively decided yet. For example, we examine whether a construction project can go ahead, what changes are needed in an area.
