On this page you will find an overview of subsidies for sports providers and athletes, both from the municipality of Zoetermeer and other organizations. Please note: some schemes may be temporarily closed or no longer have a budget.

Zoetermeer Sports Agreement
An annual incentive budget is available from the Zoetermeer Sports Agreement. Sports and exercise providers, welfare organisations, education and healthcare providers are challenged to come up with new initiatives and implement them. A one-off incentive contribution of up to €5,000 can be requested from the Sports Agreement for this purpose.

You can apply for grants from June 1 to August 31 of each year for any activities you want to organize the following year.
Investment subsidy and municipal guarantee for amateur associations
Amateur associations and foundations can apply for compensation to renovate their building or to buy items that they will use for a longer period of time. This is called investment subsidy.
An association or foundation can also use a municipal guarantee. This can help to get a loan from a lender such as a bank.

Exercise-friendly environment
The aim of this subsidy is to encourage residents to go outside and exercise more in their free time.
This subsidy can be applied for temporarily every year.

With the Subsidy Scheme for Recreation, Sports and Health in South Holland, the Provincial Executive can grant subsidies for recreation, sports and health in order to realise ambitions and goals from the Coalition Agreement 2023-2027 'Powerful South Holland'.

This subsidy option is to encourage as many people as possible to participate in sports and exercise, especially groups that are lagging behind in this regard.
This subsidy can be applied for temporarily every year.

Sports NL Green
Making sports accommodations more sustainable offers opportunities to make sports clubs in the Netherlands future-proof. Sport NL Groen helps the sports sector on its way through collaborations with affiliated manufacturers, banks and advisory processes by energy coaches.
Sports Guarantee Fund Foundation
For an investment in the accommodation, most sports clubs are dependent on a loan from a bank, a loan that is not granted so quickly when collateral is lacking. Stichting Waarborgfonds Sport can provide a guarantee.
Stimulation of construction and maintenance of sports facilities (BOSA) | Central government
The subsidy scheme Stimulation of construction and maintenance of sports accommodations (BOSA) is intended for amateur sports organizations. These organizations can apply for subsidy for construction and maintenance costs of sports accommodations and the purchase of sports materials.
