Only catering establishments and gaming machine halls may place a gaming machine.

A slot machine (gambling machine) is a device that allows a visitor to win money, such as a slot machine. With a skill machine, this is not possible. Think of a pinball machine or a video game.

Do you want to place a gaming machine in your catering establishment? If so, you need a permit.

A dexterity machine does not require a permit.

What you need to know

The owner of the slot machine must have an Operating License from the gaming authority.

High-threshold establishments

A facility is high-threshold if:

  • The space is used as a café or restaurant. No other activities may take place.
  • An Alcohol License was issued for this space and is still valid.
  • Activities are aimed at persons 18 years and older.

You can only apply for the permit if you operate a gaming machine hall or high-threshold establishment.

Permit is personal

The permit is strictly personal. No one else may use your permit.

Enclose with the application:

  • A floor plan of the premises + the place where the gaming machines (will) be located.
  • A copy of the agreement with the gaming machine supplier.
