What do we do?
Enforcement officers work every day to improve the livability and safety of the city. The tasks involved are:
- Dog nuisance; for example, poop on the street and dangerous dogs
- Youth nuisance
- Abandoned bicycles, bicycle wrecks and car wrecks
- Household and bulky waste left in the wrong place
- Improperly parked cars, caravans and trailers
- Event permits
- Nuisances in natural areas
- Undermining
- Licenses and registrations of merchants, hospitality and businesses
- Nuisances and other problems in business parks
Our enforcement officers work extensively with other services such as police, fire and ambulance.
